Commissioned photographs can be used by the client for the purposes agreed
at the time of commissioning, or subsequently.
The use of archive images is licensed to the client. This may be either
a Royalty Free License or a Traditional License.
The images supplied from the archive are generally produced by scanning
medium-format colour transparencies and writing the files to CD. A Nikon
Super Coolscan 8000 ED is used to produce RGB files of up to 100MB (or
more if required).
The files are normally supplied uncompressed in RGB TIFF format, in either
PC or Mac byte order (please specify) or as high quality JPEGS. No sharpening
is applied to images as this is left to the user.
Payment for commissioned work must be within 30 days of the date of the
invoice issued at completion.
BUILDINGimage reserves the right to claim interest for late payment and
to claim debt recovery costs. Clients' attention is drawn to the relevant
legislation "The Late Payment of Commercial (Interest) Act 1998",
as amended and supplemented by the "Late Payment of Commercial Debts
Regulations 2002".
Payment for archive images supplied on CD must be sent with the order
prior to despatch. On receipt of payment, the CD will be despatched by
Special Delivery.
The facility to place orders online, with payment by credit card, will
be available shortly.
Cheques should be made payable to "Building Image". |
